Pumpkin Patches and Halloween!

 Well, since I'm SO far behind in posts and there is going to be quite a bit going on around here in the next few months between moving and welcoming our newest addition, I'm going to do some quick updates on what we have been doing.  So, here it goes ....

October continued with lots of great pumpkin patch fun!  We went to Boostravaganza at the farm again this year.  The kids had a great time and their costumes were a huge hit (which made me pretty happy!) : )  There was even a little girl who asked to have her picture taken with them because she loved the cars movie!!

They did a great job wearing their cars around and still playing the different games.  Kenzie didn't stay in her stroller and since all the games were inside it wasn't worth trying to bring her stuff in with us so she just got to be carried around and enjoyed playing the in corn box.

After another successful Boostravaganza it looks like we will be back again next year! : )

Ticonderoga has a great pumpkin patch too.  We decided to meet up with Brayden, Taylor, and Julie after school one day and it was a great trip!  The kids pretty much had the whole place to themselves which was great because they were really able to just run around without too much confusion.  The kids had a great time playing in the tires and going down the slides over and over and over and over again! : )

Our final pumpkin patch of the season was at the Leesburg Zoo.  We were actually planning on going for the Halloween Costume Contest but ended up getting stuck in traffic and pulled in as the contest was starting. : ( It still turned out to be a fun trip though and the kids had a lot of fun!

Kylee was excited to have a place to paint her pumpkin and Kenzie loved being allowed to sit and play with the sand and the straw.  She tried to taste a few pieces of straw so we had to keep a close eye on her. : )

The slides are always a big hit and Kylee and Ryland loved the inflatable obstacle course that was set up.  Once they got over the first hill (which was a little steep and tricky for them at first) they would fly through the rest of the obstacles.

The ball swing was also a huge hit!  Both kids loved it (Kylee especially loved it when I was pushing ... Pete had to look away! HA!) : )

Then it was Halloween.  Flo and Lightning were ready to go (and Guido was happy in the stroller for a little bit.)  They couldn't wait to head out and get some candy!  They both did a great job walking around and making their way up some of the stairs.  Towards the end they were getting tired of the costumes bouncing around on them but I think they were pretty happy with the amount of candy they came home with and figured it was all worth it! : )

  

Once we got home it was time to get into our new glow in the dark skeleton pajamas!

To end the month, Kylee had her October Songfest at school.  It would have been way too much for her to wear her Flo Cars costume so instead she was Minnie Mouse.  She wore one of the old Minnie Mouse costumes that my mom had made for us!  It was hard to get many good pictures of her singing (which she was!!!) because of the crowd of people but we were able to get a class picture at the end.
