Champ and Wally

We decided that for Kylee's birthday we would get her some fish. So, we waited until her actual birthday and took her to the pet store to get everything we needed (which by the way was A LOT more than expected -- ask Pete for all the details!) : )

When we pulled into the parking lot we told Kylee we were going inside to buy some fish for her. As you can see we got a pretty good reaction.


We ended up with two fish named Champ and Wally. Kylee has enjoyed watching them swim around. Luckily, we picked out some of the less expensive fish because unbeknownst to Kylee the two fish she watches each day are not the original Champ and Wally!?!

She just couldn't get a close enough look.

Kylee's Birthday Party

Kylee had a Sesame Street 2nd birthday. It was a great day to celebrate with family and friends!

Twins born two years apart?

So Pete and I have been in awe of how much Ryland looks like Kylee as a baby. Until you see a picture of Kylee that small I don't know if you can truly appreciate the similarities. I tried to take a picture of Ryland in a similar position as one of my Kylee pictures. Here are the results ...

Gentle Big Sister

Kylee has been very gentle with Ryland during this first week (knock on wood!) and there haven't been any objects rocketed in his direction (an even bigger knock on wood!!) Here are some pictures of them "playing" together.

Kylee also helped give Ryland his first bath ... she was in charge of the feet! : )

Out for a Stroll

We decided to test out our new stroller and head for a walk to one of Kylee's favorite places ... the pond! She loves looking at the geese, ducks, and occasional turtles. The walk was great. Ryland rode like a champ and Kylee was very happy that she could sit, stand, or just get off and walk!
