To Grandad and Grandpa! : )

Grandad and Grandpa,

Here is a video just for you both. Kylee did make one for each of you but it turns out they were too big so send over email. This is for both of you . . . and it seems as if Kylee wanted to say Happy Father's Day to each of you in this video since she says it twice. : ) Ryland may not have as big of a part but he is still there and wishing you the best in his dreams. Ha! We will see you soon.

Love,

Kylee, Ryland, Becky, and Pete

Potty Time!!!!

It has been a very exciting couple of weeks at the Cooksons ... Kylee has started wearing "big girl underwear" and using the potty. We are not counting the diapers out yet (and I'm still a little nervous when we leave the house) but she has been doing great!

These are the stickers she has been hanging in her bathroom. She started out getting just one sticker for sitting on the toilet (it wasn't a favorite activity at first). Now she gets three stickers for #1 and 5 stickers for #2!!! We don't put them up EVERY time anymore . . . partly because she has been doing so well and partly because she pees every 15 minutes (or less!) . . . seriously!!!!! She is getting better with the length of time in between but those first few days were a little rough with the runs to the bathroom. : )

(She even got a piece of paper from the computer desk and put stickers on it for Daddy when he was in the bathroom! Love it!)

Just a little video of her explaining the stickers . . . and a little shot of her big girl underwear!

Similar Siblings

When I took a picture of Ryland the other day I couldn't help but notice how much he looked like Kylee. So, you be the judge ...

Kylee at 2 months
Ryland at 2 months (and 2 weeks.) Sorry for the extreme close-up.

Two Silly Monkeys

Just a recent picture of our two silly monkeys! : )

Fun at the Pond

We decided to head to Hidden Pond this week and see what it was like. We had never been there before and thought it might be worth exploring. We were lucky enough to have some friends meet us there too -- Brayden, Patrick, and Grace joined us (along with their mommies.)

Walking along the pond we were able to see a lot of turtles which was great. Brayden kept asking us to go and get them but we were able to convince him that they were too far out in the water. : )

Kylee and Brayden then decided that the best part of the pond was the mulch that was on the trail because they could pick it up and throw it in the water. (And luckily we still left with two dry kids that had not fallen into the pond!) : )

Ryland enjoyed the pond from his comfy seat too.

Memorial Day

We were in Pennsylvania for Memorial Day this year which meants we got to go to the Memorial Day parade in Ashley. For someone who has never been to a parade before this was a very exciting event . . . especially because the Ashley parade has people that throw candy at the kids!

Before Memorial Day, Amy and I decided to head to Children's Place (she had a coupon that was just burning a whole in her pocket) and get some matching outfits for the boys. We were thinking it would just be a t-shirt and they were look cute together. When we got there though, they had the greatest shorts for the boys and even jean shorts to match for Kylee. So, we of course had to buy something for all of them. (Be prepared to see similar pictures around the 4th of July!)

Jack and Kylee waiting for the parade to start . . .they were both very excited about the candy that was going to be thrown!
Ryland also showing his excitement for the parade. : )

Watching the parade ... Kylee loved the firetrucks, ambulances, and motorcycles that came by.

Checking the loot that we got at the parade!

Ryland's view of the parade. : )
